Nutritional Outline for Accelerated Childrens Education

Format: Two hours of very interactive instruction and feedback from the students.

Goal: Inform students of the basics of nutrition, the importance of balance in diet and abalance so that all of the systems of the body are being fed.

Instructional Points of Interest:  Educate students on the enzyme content of raw foods as well as the vitamin mineral content of different foods to help them understand the importance of the vitamins and minerals and electrolytes in each food which serve the purpose of cellular energy in the body. I have figured out a very easy way of relaying this information to the kids so nobody gets confused. Instruction will focus on a natural flow that will be determined by the area students are most intersested in while addressing specific points regarding nutrition that will be the basis for setting the stage to achieve optimal health for the rest of their lives.

The theory of “You are what you eat” will be the basis of nutritional education content. The more live food they eat the more life they feel. Several creative ideas will be presented to cater to different tastes and food preference.

The importance that each individual needs to listen to their body will be a strong component to help students realize what diet is right for them. If there's a certain food that is irritating them, the best thing is just to not eat it, give it a break, tried again and see if it happens again. If that food is an issue then it is something that your body does not want to tolerate and there is a reason for that.

Educate that foods can alter the way that we feel. Nutrition and specific diets can help control stress of anxiety control emotions like depression and anger. Specific diets can also increase energy and decrease fatigue. Focus and brain function for those who have a hard time paying attention or possible ADHD will be addressed and specific diets will be recommended for students with these concerns. And of course I will address immune function.

Guidelines as to where to shop and how to shop in order to not waste money for natural foods given that many of these students will not be able to afford the cost of high-end super markets to provide themselves with the healthy cooking eating habits discussed throughout the curriculum.

Each student will be given a copy of all course material and resources to fall back on so that they leave with an idea of where to start so that they don't feel lost after the lecture.
