PHILOSOPHY

Accelerated Childrens Education believes that through acquiring the skills necessary to become proficient in the game of tennis, the student will inevitably gain numerous and invaluable life skills as well. They most important part in acquiring these skills is to engage the student and help them find success, improvement, and enjoyment early and often in the lifelong process of become a tennis player. Like other programs that ACE offers, tennis cultivates the whole person, engaging the mind, body and spirit. While tennis is an individual sport, which helps the student become independently motivated and accountable for themselves and teaches other individual skills, it also requires  communication, respect, and social skills in dealing with coaches, opponents and other people that the individual recognizes as necessary to their success on the court. This helps develop both individual initiative and collective responsibility.

The curriculum uses a very progression based approach. Basic skills are taught and developed in order to create a solid foundation on which other skills may be built upon while ensuring success as milestones are set and reached along the way.
